| Show levan turn petitions to go to state road correction demand to be made personally several thousand names have been affixed ic to the peti petitions irions circulated by the richfield chamber of commerce in in southern utah demanding the state of utah do something about the disgusting S turn at levan at the regular chamber of commerce comm cice meeting tuesday night J N stacey announced that a delegation would make a trip to the state capitol and personally present the list of petitioners petition ers to the state road commission mr stacey stated that if the petitions do not pull the commission out of their lethargy a continued effort along other lines will be pursued until every possible stone has been turned to make the state cooperate in in this needed road improvement the local chamber in in cooperation wit with h it other her civic civic groups along 89 has been working for a solution of the levan turn that costs this southern part of the state much inconvenience inconvenience and tourist traffic each year the proposal is is to make highway 28 peel off from 91 in in a Y one block east cast of the present turn the chamber has an option on the necessary land to complete the turn and that option was recently extended sixty days delegation to salma salina at the tuesday meeting it was decided that a delegation from the richfield chamber will go to salma salina saturday for the dedication of that cites new airport it was announced that the airport committee would head that delegation |
