Show funeral held for pioneer of this county funeral services were held in the circleville Cir cleville L D S ward on april apal 2 for mrs minnie woolley who died at her home from illness of many months duration bishop james L whittaker presided and counselor john M bucklar conducted mrs rhoda thompson sang 1 I know that my reede emer lives followed by the invocation by louring A whittaker henry gave a sketch of her life followed by a song that wonderful mother of mine leonard sargent gave a talk followed by a violin selection the end of a perfect day C B crane spoke and was followed by mrs ina chamberlain who sang going home she was accompanied by judd haycock on the violin the closing prayer was offered by charles R dalton and interment was in the circleville Cir cleville cemetery where the grave was dedicated by irvin allen alien minnie jane wooley was born bom april 13 1864 in tim buckloo county california she resided in california for about six years then moved with her family to Circle violle in 1870 1970 they built the old log house that stands on the J W reynolds place in the mouth of the Cir circleville cleville canyon it is the oldest house standing on the original site the family lived here for a period of ten years where she met and married george wiltshire on the of june 1880 they moved to beaver where they resided for three years at this time her folks moved into texas and in 1883 she and her husband returned to Cir circleville cleville in the year 1890 when she was but 26 years old she was left a widow with five small children the oldest but nine years of age on february 14 1892 she b buried her baby boy orson william she lived a widow for 20 years with her four children ildren at which alme thea were all married in the year 1910 on october 11 she married frank wooley who survives her he was very kind and thoughtful of her throughout her sickness in 1915 her only living relative oscar B came from oklahoma to see her it had bad been 42 years since she had seen any of her relatives she Is the last of the family to pass away besides her husband she Is survived by five children 20 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren eight of her posterity have preceded her to the grave mrs wooley was loved by everyone in the community who knew her she will be missed by her friends as well as her family and the sincerest sympathy of the entire community is offered to her husband frank wooley her daughters mrs almina steel of delta mrs minnie veater of salt L lake ake city and mrs rosamond of circleville Cir cleville and to her son soil george wiltshire of circleville Cir cleville all of her family were home for the funeral services and several children of mr wooley also attended |
