Show HOW UNIT go HERTH SERICE A most interesting article has recently been released by the department part ment of agriculture for the resettlement administration on the establishment of a rural cooperative health association one of the reasons this is so interesting to us to is because of the need of a similar association in plute and eastern garfield counties these two sections face somewhat the same problem in distance from medical help and hospitalization with the result that many illnesses are neglected and sometimes serious complications result of the great distance and expense of securing medical help when needed the resettlement administration has approved a loan for the establishment lish ment of this association in southern california under the terms of the contract each member of the cooperative is entitled to medical service at a cost of 2 a month dependents of members are entitled to the same services at reduced costs but are not included in the group plan membership in cooperatives for medical c care a re la is restricted to resettlement administration clients and persons eligible to lo become clients at the adult school held in logan during the first two weeks of december a health panel was held in which mr john luke of junction and mrs maud wiley of antimony took part in this health panel a plan was discussed whereby such a cooperative might be worked out in these counties it was stated there that more than doctors in new york city were on the relief rolls we feel that it would be a most worthwhile project if this plan or a similar one could be worked out for this section so that medical attention and hospitalization could be provided for all of our people |
