Show DEER HUNT PROBABLY POOREST IN YEARS the annual deer hunt which came to a close last tuesday evening was in ill all probability the poorest we have had in this section for several years dry open weather which has made hunting difficult and kept the deer in the high heavily timbered areas has had much to do with the luck of some hunters but we suspect that the thinning out gut of the deer herd through several years of successive doe h hunts and post poa season hunts has some more to do with it almost every hun hunter ter agrees that the deer population is thinned out considerable to what it was a year or two ago and most of them are outspoken in their views as to why the herd is going down with some going so far as to say that this years special doe hunt will just about finish our deer herd whatever the cause we know the most hunters had to spend more time to get their deer and there are a number we know off that are going without their deer for the first time in several years |
