| Show CHRISTMAS SEALS DELIVERED THROUGH MAIL THIS WEEK TO COUNTY RESIDENTS chr atmas seals were delivered this week through the mails to za residents of utah in an effort to appeal to the public for help in corn com batting tuberculosis which still costs the lives of americans every year iron county has been conducting its own seal campaign compa ign during the past six years by house to house calls but this year the local committee decided to try the former method used by having the seals mailed out of the salt lake city office to all communities thereby saving the effort of soliciting which so often falls to the same people in a community however the committee wishes it known that because they are organized to do publicity and educational programs the state will still return the usual 60 per cent of al for use locally mrs wison N lunt of cedar city is county chairman of the committee with mrs M J urie secre tary treasurer buyrle florence joseph agusta adams and alice garner are members of the committee from this community they have announced that money collected in this years drive will go toward the fund for patch test ing which will be given during january to all first graders and high school students money will also be expended for x rays for persons in need of such service as well as for educational purposes A complete record of personal contributions made by county residents is is kept by the state and county control committees let your name be on the list buy as many seals as you can if you cant do it this month january is not too late to forward your dollar keep tufted to radio station for a series of plays fays to be offered under direction of miss carmen leigh dramatics director of the cedar city high school two short features taking about 20 minutes each on tuberculosis will be shown at the alladin theatre here next wednesday the features are called goodbye mr germ and they do come back A matinee for school children will be held at 4 p m and the showing for adults will be just before the main feature in the evening name restored to her several cases were set for trial at the next term of the court which convenes here on thursday december lath |
