Show ADAMS ATTEND EATOUGH FUNERAL AT KANAB special to the times bishop and mrs will L ada adams s attended the funeral ser servias for gordon W eatough who died the fore part of the week which were held in the kanab north ward on thursday september 10 at 2 p m speakers were president Heaton of the kanab stake graham mcdonald and bishop b S frost with several appropriate musical numbers the speakers praised mr eatough as a leader in civic church and community affairs he was president of the lions club members ot which attended the funeral in a body mr eatough married ora watson of parowan carowan in 1908 and many people here will remember that he operated crated the parowan carowan drug store for some time being the first pharmacist in parowan carowan Pa rowan his friend mr mcdonald told of his coming to utah in 1905 as a graduate from the university of michigan of his enthusiasm and love for the work and his fine cooperation and interest in the social affairs of the students of the B A C and of his investigation of the mormon faith which led to his joining the church soon after to which he remained a faithful member sending his son watson on a mission sion in 1938 1933 mr eatough is survived by his wife a daughter mrs elliott rush of new york who has been with her father during his illness and a son watson an ordnance engineer in government employ at heberton Re berton washington an interesting thing connected with those attending the services was the meeting of nine sisters and three brothers of the sixteen living members of the watson family who were all born and lived in carowan parowan during their early lives and who had not been together for many years as their homes are now in various parts of the country |
