Show doe deer hunting proclamation issued A proclamation making it legal to remove doe deer from the forests of utah this year was issued the latter part of last week by the state big game control board excerpts from the proclamation which pertain to this section or areas hunter by residents of this locality are published as follows after due investigation we the state game refuge committee and board of big game control find that deer have increased in numbers in certain localities to such an extent that reductions in addition to those obtained through the regular season on antlered deer are deemed advisable I 1 NOW THEREFORE we the board of big game control and the state game refuge committee under authority of section 30 0 54 first special session laws of utah 1941 do hereby proclaim and declare the following rules and regulations ions pertaining to the hunting and taking of deer ana deer of either sex during th the season of 1941 and do hereby define the boundaries of state game preserves affected by open seasons on game animals during the year of 1941 such rules and regulations hereby prescribed shall in no way affect the regular open season for the killing of buck deer as prescribed by law un under der section 30 0 47 revised statutes of utah 1933 beaver unit 1800 permits as follows beginning at wildcat pass on Flig highway hway 91 thence southerly along said highway to the fremont dog valley road thence southeasterly along said road to hig htway 84 89 thence northeasterly along high way 89 to ten mile creek north of the town of junction thence westerly along the divide between ten mile and and cottonwood canyons to the summit thence northwesterly along the divide between the sevier and bearer bea er river drai nags to mt belnap thence northwesterly along the divide between the fish creek and indian creek to the head of wildcat creek thence westerly along the divide between pine creek and wildcat creek to wildcat pass on highway 91 the place of beginning dixie district permits for antle riess deer on the dixie unit of the dixie national forest excepting the east slopes of pine valley mountain between the grove park road along leeds creek and sawyer canyon south of new harmony rules and regulations pertaining to io hunting Antle riess deer season the season during which it shall be permissible per to hunt antle riess deer shall run concurrent with the regular buck season october 18 to lo 28 23 1941 inclusive fees door hunting permits will be issued only to hunters who have obtained a regular utah big game hunting license fees shall be each for residents and each for non nonresident resident hunters applications for per permits its application for deer permits will be received at the county courthouses in the counties where the permits are to be used such applications must be accompanied by the fee prescribed together with the number of the ap cants utah big game hunting license and the nam name e of the agent from which it was purchased and must give name and complete address of the applicant choice of hunting district and unit within the district and may be made in person or in writing if in writing they shall be addressed out one at a time until the entire number of applications have been placed in the order drawn and the permits then issued eq for the allotted number in any district unsuccessful applicants will have their money refunded rules pertaining ng to lo permits deer permits will no not be valid only on the unit for which they are issued they shall be nontransferable there shall be no cancellations cel lations or refunds and not more than one permit shall be issued to any applicant all antle riess deer permits are issued only for the period october 1828 18 28 1941 and become void immediately thereafter the hunter is required to tag his deer immediately after making the kill and it shall be unlawful to transport said deer from the place of kill without said tag being attached thereto game preserves opened provided further that t the he following state game preserves shall be opened to the hunting of deer and elk as prescribed by law during the seasons as herein prescribed dixie manti including gentry mountain nebo wasatch parowan carowan and paragonah Para Paa gonah provo several others will be partially opened miscellaneous provided further that it shall be unlawful for any person at any time to hunt or kill deer aided by the use of a flashlight spotlight automobile light or artificial light of any kind used either by the person pursuing or hunting deer or by any person guiding aiding or accompanying the hunter provided that it shall be unlawful for any person at any time to hunt kill or pursue deer with a shotgun of any gauge provided fur ther that it shall be unlawful to hunt kill or pursue deer at any time with any kind of a revolver pistol or with any 2520 25 20 calibre 22 special or any other 22 calibre ritie rifle except a 22 high power a 22 hornet or a 22 swift provided that it shall be unlawful for any person at any time to hunt kill or pursue deer with dogs provided further that it shall bo be unlawful for hunters to fail to stop at checking stations where a stop sign is placed requesting them to do so provided further that all hunters hunter must register in an out of checking stations upon areas where such stations are established
