Show PASTURE improvement AID TO U S DAIRY INDUSTRY consumers of dairy products will reap benefits from the ever norm al granary during the coming year according to J M palmer chairman of the county AAA committee committe e iron county farmers have cooperated with farmers of the united states in a pasture improvement and soil conservation which guarantee to the consumer an adequate supply of food for the coming year this year iron county farmers are reaping some of the results of conservation and pasture improvement programs of the past several years during 1939 re seeding of pas tures was carried out on more than a thousand farms in utah more than acres were re seeded naturally and pounds of seed were planted artificially more than 1500 farms of utah improved proved their pastures and forage crops by renovation on acres under the agricultural conservation program farmers all over the county have been building up their farms through soil building practices and better farming methods the consumer is now reaping the benefits of this improvement in an assurance of ample supplies of dairy products for the coming year |
