| Show 0 november term of district court held the november term of the district court for iron county was held here during the first three days of the week with very few cases of a public nature coming up for trial no new criminal cases were on the calendar and the time monday afternoon was mostly taken up with hearing the reports from persons who have hav previously b been e e n tried by the court for minor infractions and who are arc now out on probation several civil cases were tried on tuesday and wednesday and several probate matters disposed of among these cases were two divorce actions both of which went by default in the first of li 1 kise iese hazel edwards barral barrale N xa given an interlocutory decree dearie ot of divorce from wm ralph barrall on the grounds of nonsupport non support and her maiden name restored to her in the second one keith B reybourne Hey bourne was given an interlocutory decree from claudia F reybourne Hey bourne on the grounds of desertion ser tion both couples were married in parowan carowan Pa rowan the first one in june 1938 and the second in march 1938 the case of annie C green vs evan williams et ux occupied the courts time on tuesday and at the close of the trial the case was taken under tinder advisement by the court with judgment to be rendered at some future date in this case the plaintiff is suing the defendant for the return of land located on cedar mountain which the latter purchased from iron county for delinquent taxes mrs green was the former owner of the land which became county property through her failing to pay the taxes mr williams purchased the property from the county who gave him a tax deed which mrs williams is trying to have set aside by the court giving her possession of the land again the plaintiff was represented in court by cline wilson and cline and the law firm of shay isom and shay represented the defendant the case of john W and charles howland vs john M brown was tried wednesday with the court rendering judgment in ill favor of the plaintiff plain tUI on two counts in the total sum of in this case the plaintiffs were suing the defendants to obtain money they alleged was coming to them from the sale of some bucks which the defendant sold for them the latter claimed the money above mentioned as his commission for making the sale some other minor cases were disposed of some were dismissed by stipulation of the parties involved evolved and the rest were carried over until the december term of the court |
