Show 0 INCREASE SHOWN IN communicable r DISEASE I 1 there were cases of communicable muni cable disease reported to the utah state board of health for the week ending september 15 1933 as compared with a total of 83 cases for the corresponding week in 1938 according to the weekly communicable disease bulletin re teased leased today by dr william NJ mckay acting state health commissioner the following diseases were reported for the week ending september 15 chickenpox chicken pox 12 infantile paralysis 4 measles 7 mumps 12 pneumonia 4 scarlet fever 15 tu 3 tularemia 3 undulant fever 2 and whooping cough 44 there were no diphtheria small pox or typhoid fever reported there has been a total of 11 cases of infantile paralysis reported to the state board of health this year and 6 of these cases have been reported from carbon coun ty since august 25 investigation shows 4 that tha t there seems to be no contact or rela between the cases reported from carbon county according to the report of the U S public health service for me united states as a whole for trie me week ending september 2 lucre were cases of infantile paralysis for the first 35 weeks ot of 21 as compared with 1090 cases during the same period of 1933 SOT eor the week ending september 2 in the united states there were cases as compared with 63 cases for the same week in in 1938 of this number new nev york state reported michigan minnesota 60 and california 50 cases |
