COUNCIL PASSES BUDGET AI Ar ORDINANCE at a special meeting of the city council hell hehl tuesday night the burdet appropriation ordinance fur for city tor for the calendar year 1938 1908 was passed atter after a few minor changes were made by the gannam council from the original as mail mado by the mayor and recorder the tha ordinance as passed by the council appears on another page in this issue and budgets total expenditures ot of this amount Is higher than last years budget calls tor for this difference is made up mostly of increased appropriations in the Inter interest cst and sinking fund accounts some other funds are increased and others decreased as was shown necessary by last years expenditures but the amount set aside for interest and sinking fund account was necessarily increased in order to mee meet t the demands on these accounts in the next few years some other minor matters of business I 1 was transacted and a fe lew w bills bill were allowed before the meeting was adjourned to convene again on the first monday in january at this time the affairs ot of parowan carowan city will he be turned over to the new city administration AWS
