Show am eliy H ly 0 in a haw P D i e s I 1 following long illness 0 mrs airs amelia B lyman 66 wife ot of oscar al M lyman and lifelong resident of 0 this city died at the county hospital about 12 sunday night following an illness ot of many months duration she had been taken to the hospital that day but lived only a few hours hour aft after er being taken there she had been practically bedfast tor for the past six months part ot of the time at the home of a daughter in Miners minersville vIlle and the last few weeks at the home of her sister here funeral services tor for her were held wednesday afternoon in the west ward chapel with elder daniel to crawford Craw tord ot of the ward bishopric in charge tho the combined choirs of 0 the two wards sang lead me ate gently home as the opening number with della delia marsden at the piano thomas K X holyoak offered the 0 pening prayer after which ormon weight and harold johnson played a violin ello cello duet 0 my father accompanied by beth leigh on the piano speakers were luella R adams barbara adams and W leonard evans all of 0 whom spoke of the many worthy traits of character possessed by mrs airs lyman and told of 0 their association willi her as neighbors and as workers in church organizations barbara adams also read verses written by a friend of the burton family mrs airs olive carroll who was a close neighbor when they lived in the lane mary alary B orton read articles ot of condolence from the daughters ot of the pioneers organization of which the deceased was a member other musical numbers were a song sometime well understand by the choir a duet whispering hope by mr air and mrs airs win dalton and ala song goin coln horae by a quartet consisting ot of ormon weight clair rowley ray garner and ivan decker accompanied by mary jane mitchell Ml alter after a few closing remarks by elder crawford Craw tord the closing prayer was offered by clifton taylor and at the cemetery the grave was dedicated by bishop 11 L adams pallbearers Pall bearers were dimor wayno wayne burton ernest frank lyman richard and aad robert banks flowers were in charge ot of irene lyman glenna and claudia mary amelia burton bunton lyman was born here july 21 1871 a daughter ot of peter and mary smith wimmer she was married to sidney R burton who preceded her in death nine years to the day on may 10 1888 and to them eight children were born six ot of whom survive her she was married to oscar AI M lyman in march 1932 during her life she has been an ardent church worker has been a relief society teacher for over thirty years and A was captain ot of the local daughters 14 ot of the pioneers organization tor for two terms 3 the deceased Is survived by her husband and the following children lindsey burton delaney delancy N Y owen gaea van patten onelda oneida N Y julia banks and wayne burton Miners minersville ville utah allma mccarty salt lake city and horace burton jerome arizona 22 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren she Is also survived by the following brothers and sisters warren wimmer wlm ot of ogden george wimmer of american fork cora com W of parowan carowan Pa rowan josephine morris ot of Ding elnaham liam clarissa cleghorn of los angeles angelea california and the following halt sisters stella webb of parowan carowan Pa rowan kate jennings ot of murray im arid and bibble griffiths ot of midvale |
