Show CEDAR HIGH SCHOOL MAY BE MOVED FROM B A C the school coordinating committee itee recently appointed to study problems in III connection with the dranch branch college and cedar high school made a report to the board of education saturday of a decision that may have far reaching effect on the future of the two schools tile the report which was given at the regular meeting of the board saturday was to the effect that the iron county board of education start preparation to tako mic 0 the cedar high school out of the dranch branch college and set up as a ser separate parate unit the coordinating co committee which ia Is composed af 0 dr at J macfarlane tar lane henry heber sevy and N J barlow had met for the purpose of considering this problem and after a thorough discussion cus sion felt that the time had arrived to ito prepare tor for this move it lg is felt that the move would result in benefits tor for both schools after hearing the report the board ot of education authorized the superintendent to take the necessary steps to make sure that the board application tor for funds which was approved Is kept in good standing ile he was also instructed to write congressmen requesting that the resolution passed by vie the association of general gl contractors asking tor for help tor for buildings rather than because of the more efficient work that could be done be considered favorably leaves ot of absence tor for one year were granted cojohn pendleton of the parowan high school and mrs miriam luke ot of the cedar elementary grades these teachers will attend school next year at higher institutions mr ITT pendleton Pend leiton at either bavis california fort collins col orada or ames iowa and mrs luke will attend the columbia university the board also decided to send principals and board members of the district to an administration conference in salt lake city this week end and to send all school buses to transport students to the mus musical cal te festival stival at dixie college on april fth iron county record decord |
