Show B A C conducting LAMB FEEDING experiment cedar city the branch agricultural college agriculture department in connection with the utah state agricultural college extension division began a feeding demonstration on cross breed lambs last week which is to carry over a period ot of three months six pens including twenty six sheep to a pen of 0 the various types of cross bleds have been subjected to the demonstration the cross bleds include hampshire crossed with rambouillet suffolk crossed with rambouillet crossed with rambouillet lincoln coln crossed with rambouillet and pens of grade rambouillet and Ar wr inkley rambouillet I 1 the six pens were weighed individually and as a group on december 2 3 and 4 at exactly the same lime dine each day giving as nearly an accurate weight as possible all of 0 I 1 the pens are being fed exactly the I 1 sirile sime rations and under exactly the same conditions the rations consist of first crop alfalfa hay whole barley and corn silage each pen and each individual will tie be weighed again every month tor for the three month period A detailed record of 0 feed consumed and the gains made will be tabulated at the conclusion of the test and a detailed account will be published the work is under the direct charge of D L sargent and leland dalley dailey of the agricultural department of the school |
