Show SCOTT 31 MATHESON ATHESON PASSES BAR BAK LAW partnership ANNOUNCED that he had successfully passed the state bar examination which entitles titles him to practice law in the courts of utah was the cheering news received on wednesday ot of this week by scott M matheson atheson tl ot of tills this city scott took the examination just s r few days ago in connection with nineteen others some of whom were taking it tor for the fourth time and out of the group of twenty lie he was waa one ot of four who were vere successful in passing scott is thirty three years old of one of our pioneer families and a young man of pleasing personality he received his high school and college education from the branch agricultural F ri I 1 c cultural college and the university of utah and then went to chicago where he received his degree from the university ot of chicago lie he also did considerable postgraduate post graduate work at the northwestern university before returning to utah he had considerable experience in legal work in illinois which gave him a splendid background for his hia work here before going to chicago he taught a couple of years in the par far owan high school incidentally he coached one of the basket ball teams which won out in this division and took part in the state meet following receipt ot of returns from his recent examination announcement is made that lie he and durham morris have formed a partnership for the general practice of law in the courts of 0 southern utah to he be known as morris and matheson it is intimated that they may establish offices la in cedar city though no definite announcement as to that Is is made morris has been practicing law for several years and has built up a splendid business he has also been head of one of the departments in the high school here but will sever his connections with that institutions after this year he states |
