Show plans going forward for rambouillet show 31 1 I A OPENING SOCIALS TO BE HELD SEPTEMBER the opening social for the mutual improvident associations thru out ont the italic stalco are arc to be held on tuesday evening september according to information given out by stake officers suggestive programs tor for these socials will be a callable val lable within a short time and in the meantime the stake officials are anxious to visit any ot of the wards desiring them to give assistance or suggestions it if they will make their ashes known the ward organizations here are being completed for or the winters work both the young ladles ladies and the young men of the east ward are to have new presidencies cies and though the announcements as to these are not definite it Is certain that mrs airs fae N benson Is to be president of the young ladles ladies and randall adams will in all probability preside over the young men mrs benson will be assisted by huldah dah al hulet as first counsellor and josephine paramore as secretary the second councillor has not been named as this Is written rt rr coach and mrs victor watkins came in the first ot of the week from salt lake city and ogden where they have spent the summer to be on hand for the opening of school text next monday mr watkins attended a school tor for coaches during the summer which better than ever equips him tor bior his work this winter plans are going forward for or the ninth annual rambouillet show to be held here on the and ot of the month with probably a dairy eliw t i connect the officers of 0 the southern utah rambouillet sheep breeders bleeders Bre eders association which sponsors the show is acting as a general cammi committee atee with E ray ly L and lloyd white in active charge of arrangements george A lowe and ray D garner were named as a listing committee and already they have been given assurance of enough entries tri es to guarantee the success or of the show from the standpoint ol of exhibits short wool classes because of 0 the lateness in announcing noun cing this years show and the general conditions which prevail it is thought that some breeders bleeders bre eders may have sheared the animals which otherwise would have been conditioned tor for the event to meet this situation classes for or unfitted sheep in short wool are being added so that shorn and unfitted unlit ted animals will be at no als disadvantage advantage conditions the officers teel feel do not justify soy any big advertise adver advertising ng campaign to bring in a lot of people tor for the show or any special effort to provide a program of 0 amusements or entertainment but they did not want the year to go by without the annual show they extend an indita tion to everybody to come and see the exhibits and they welcome competition from any and all sources their idea Is to have the best possible exhibit without any big outlay of money A competent Judge judgewell will be secured though who it Is to be Is not known ai at this time the annual banquet and business meeting ot of the association will be held during the show and officers tor for the coming year will hill be elected premium list the premium list provides for the awarding of ribbons for or first second and third places in the following classes for both B and C types 1 ram two year old or ov over er 2 ram one year old and under two 3 ram lamb C 4 pen of three ram lambs 1 I 1 pen limit from each breeder 5 ewe two years old or over 6 ewe one year old and under two 7 ewe lamb 8 pen ot of three ewe lambs 1 pen limit from each breeder 9 flock exhibit aged ram rain aged ewe yearling ewe ram lamb ewe lamb 10 grand champion ram purple 11 grand chain champion P ion ewe unfitted classes in short wool 1 ram 2 years old and over 2 ram one year old and under two taco 3 ewe 2 years old and over 4 ewe one year old and under two ram with best fleece of wool ewe with best fleece of wool best fleece ot of wool from ram best fleece of wool from ewe outstanding individual ot of the show |
