parowan carowan stake M 1 I A 4 has ever known and one ot of the best and most extensive programs ever given by any ot of the aucilla auxiliary ry organizations in the stake the officers were united in their efforts to put it over in a big way and they met with hearty co opera tion in every ward the day dawned bright and clear and the sunshine invited everywhere people turned tu arned out in ill mass on saturday morning to view the parade at ai 10 am toward noon the sky clouded and it seemed that the contests and scout craft planned tor for the afternoon on the B A C campus might be hindered however the threatening storm did not break until after most of the try iry outs were over the contest entire in fire by friction had to be done inside the tents but the boys realized little inconvenience some of them kindled their fires in less than iwo two minutes the al I 1 A stake and ward officers 0 and all who participated in t the h re various activities are to be campli dented on their success la in the jubilee celebration the program for or the day was as follows at 9 am the try outs in public speaking took place at the B A C auditorium A dit orlum it was a matter of regret that no one contested in quartet work and that more did not enter in the public sli taking H however however the oratorical work given was very fine and a credit to the M 1 I A the speakers and their bugle awarded by the bank of southern utah tor for the best appearing troop in the parade N J barlow chairman ot of the court ot of honor awarded badges 10 0 o 3 eagle scouts 1 life scout and 2 star scouts pageant at 8 9 p ni m a historical pageant was given at the tha 13 A 6 C auditorium the pageant opened with the queen ot of the may on her throne her maids entered with dancing bestowed their garlands and then took their places at her feet old tinie time officers came first to pay their homage lt ift sons song characters representing the 7 fields of beehive bee hive work followed then came the beehive girls in their uniforms and sang their work song scout troops bearing the stars and stripes pledged allegiance and sang the torch bearers song was mosi BIOS beautifully by the banner bearers entrance and the grand finale was the M 1 I A song by tile the entire cast the awards were made to the beo bee hive girls by mrs alice gardner stake bee Itee keeper per sixty awards were made tor for the completion of ranks and for merit badge work TW the ike girls received awards tor for having completed all the ranks and finished their merit feht badge work awards were made to the boy scouts as before mentioned A dance occupied the remainder of the evening at which a wonderful spirit of enjoyment prevailed jubilee meeting the concluding feature of the jubilee was rendered on sunday
