| Show notice to telephone renters at the regular february meeting of the board of directors of the ir iron n county telephone company a resolution was adopted effect ing rates and collections as follows beginning with auril aon first 1916 all monthly rates in the companas Comp anys exchanges will be advanced adv TWENTY FIVE CENTS but with the understanding that if an account is 15 paid in full at the companas Comp anys office on or before the day of the month following a REBATE of 25 cents shall be made from the subscribers bill REASON FOR THE RULE our exchanges are not paving their way the rebuilding of some of our toll lines will require additional capital and the toll revenue will be consumed in maintaining toll lines the cost of material and supplies is 19 constantly rising our operating costs are certain to be higher in the near future than they now are the company is attempting to meet these conditions by reducing expenses it is estimated that at least SQ jl a month will be saved in the matter of making collections if everybody pays in time to receive th the rebate b ie to such this rate is not a raise and the only persons on to suffer faor will 1 be the collectors whose avocation will be abolished to their great joy signed iron county telephone company BY byj J S WOODBURY mgr |
