| Show AGED CITIZEN HONORED I 1 john lowder given reception in Comme ration of his hi birthday last wednesday afternoon upon the invitation of mrs M A orton a large number of the relatives of our aged and respected townsman townsa an john lowder met at the rex hall and enjoyed them self in a reception given in commemoration of his birthday A splendid program of musical numbers recitations reminiscences bences etc was given and all who listened were charmed especially mr low der for whom the reception was gotten up A delicious supper was partaken partaker par taken of which had been prepared by his daughter mrs M A orton ably assisted by other members of f the family it necessitated the getting setting of three tables the entire len length ath of the hall to accommodate all who were in attendance there were besides mr lowder and his wife and children 38 grand children and 4 great grand children it is seldom that so elaborate an affair is given in honor of our aged people and to say that the recipient was pleased is expressing it but feebly |
