Here are some ideas: f r I ' ' Black Pearl August will be playing at fi the Black Pearl. They are a 9 Salt Lake rock 'n' roll band, and there will be a small fc cover charge to see them. country western and folk music. Grub Steak The Grub Steak continues with the Stoddard Brothers, who will provide soft country vocals accompanied by guitar, gui-tar, keyboards, and flute. Adolph's Adolph's will feature local classical guitarist Bob Weisenfeld. Alamo ' The Alamo will be visited & by the revised Joe E. Boots and the Heels band, along , with their latest new mem-' mem-' ber, Al Joy, who used to play 2 with the Drifters. A minimal 6 cover charge will get you a -8 night of fun. Cowboy Bar t , The Cowboy Bar will host the Ted Mentry band, rock 8 V rollers from Boulder, 9: Colorado. f i v j- Sneakers Sneakers is starting their -. summer off with entertain-a entertain-a ment, this week featuring s' Ric Weber, a local singer ni and guitarist. He plays everything from rock 'n' roll j and new wave to rhythm & blues and classical, and he's . recently released his first album. J3 Down Under Kafs back at the Claim-jumper's Claim-jumper's Down Under club, playing guitar and singing KPCW Birthday Lots of these artists and more will also be appearing at KPCW's third birthday Saturday afternoon at City Park. The list includes: Ted Mentry, the Silver Creek Strings, Dr. Pop and his band, Claudia & the Boys, Mountain Dogs, Joe E. Boots and the Heels, Andrea and the Strap, and Kat James. It's guaranteed to be a wild time, with lots of other entertainment in store, and maybe even a few surprises. P.C. Village Also happening on Saturday Satur-day afternoon: the Park City Village merchants are providing pro-viding concerts at the resort plaza. Kelly Wright will be finger-picking 6- and 12-string 12-string guitars, and Ric Weber will be singing and playing guitar. So with lots of music all weekend long, day and night, there shouldn't be any lack of amusement. Have fun! |
