Show Police HReport Roommate takes money and runs for California According to the Park City Police Department's blotter for the past week, roommates can be very cost- iy. A man reported the theft of $500 Sept. 11. The victim told police that he put the cash in a suitcase before leaving for work. Upon his return, he found the money missing. Coinciden-tally, Coinciden-tally, the man's roommate was also gone. There was no sign of forced entry en-try into the apartment on Iron Horse Loop. Smith said the two were in the process of moving. Also on Sept. 11, the same victim made a report of forged money orders. He told police he purchased the money orders as payment to his landlord. However, the landlord did not receive the money orders. The man told police that he gave the money orders to his roommate to deliver to the landlord. American Express reported the money orders have been cashed. The victim said his former roommate was on his way to California. Ron Maloney reported a theft on Sept. 17. His report states a Sears 12-inch black-and-white television set was taken from inside the Park Avenue Laundromat. No value is listed for the missing set. Also on Sept. 17, Richard Kimball Kim-ball called police to report a burglary from his residence on Butch Cassidy Court. Reported missing is two file cabinets, four chairs and one desk. Katie Webster called police from Janeaux's restaurant on Sept. 16 to report the theft of 16 golf shirts. The shirts were taken from a glass case. They bear the Janeaux's logo on the sleeve. The shirts are worth $208. A countertop range was reported stolen by Mike Watts Sept. 16. The theft took place at a house under construction on Centennial Circle. The report states the house was locked. The range is valued at $670. On Sept. 11, Ashley Ericksen reported that her car was burglarized burglariz-ed while it was parked at the Resort Center. Listed as missing is a backpack-like purse valued at $50. Additionally this week, Park City police made three DUI arrests. . |
