Show Sewer district streamlines approvals In a move aimed at streamlining the development process, the Board of Trustees for the Snyderville Basin Sewer Improvement District Monday gave the district manager final design de-sign approval for subdivision projects. According to district manager Rex Ausburn, the new policy could cut two and possibly three weeks from the approval process. He explained that previously the board of trustees granted project approval during bi-monthly meetings. In some of the worst cases, Ausburn said, a project would be almost ready but not complete in time for board review. The developer would have to wait two to three weeks before the board met again. And while Ausburn now has project design approval, all subdivision subdivi-sion sewer projects still will be reviewed by the board of trustees. Currently there are about 75 sewer projects ongoing in the Snyderville Basin in as many as 40 subdivisions, Ausbum said. All sewer projects must be submitted to P.M. Engineers, the Salt Lake City firm which acts as the district's consultant, Ausburn said. Following review by P.M. Engineers, Engin-eers, sewer projects then are reviewed by the district manager. |
