Show Wine will be the main squeeze when liquor store expansion is complete by Randy Hanskat Wines sweet and tart. Wines red and white. Wines fancy and not so fancy. Wines and more wines. That will be the emphasis at" the'" Utah State Liquor Store in Prospector Prospec-tor Square, when the expansion of the store is completed in December. Manager Clarence Townsend said the major expansion of the store at 1000 Sidewinder Dr. is planned for completion Dec. 10, in time for the opening of ski season. The purpose of the addition to the store is twofold, Townsend said: to expand the sales area with the addition of more brands of wine and liquor, and to enlarge the storage and dispatch capacity for local restaurants and bars that do their purchasing from the store. The variety of wines will be greatly increased, Townsend said. "We are going to improve both the vintage and the quality of our selection." That means carrying more expensive entries, such as Dom Perignon champagne. "We will be close to the quality and selection offered in the Trolley Square store," Townsend said.- " - " As in the Trolley Square store, at least two employees who have attended wine-tasting schools will be on the payroll at the Park City store, said Townsend. It will be their job to help customers with wine-purchasing decisions. Townsend said the Park City store will have the distinction of being only the third "wine store" in the state. "We will stand out in reference to the other 32 outlets," Townsend Said. ' '" " In addition to adding lots of wine, Townsend said the selection of liquor, whiskey and liqueurs will also be increased. "We will have most anything that a person could want. We want to provide a service and do what we can within the state guidelines." |
