Show City Awards Contract To Address Park City A comprehensive addressing addres-sing system will be in place in Park City by March of 1982 according to a $13,500 contract let Thursday by the City Council. DBA Tax Mapping Services of Salt Lake will provide the system for the city which will add rhyme and reason to Park City addresses for existing and future properties. City Manager Arlene Loble said she doubted if many existing house numbers would be changed in old town but added some residents in newer developments could expect new addresses since Park City presently has no set addressing system, houses hous-es in new subdivisions are often numbered with no set pattern. Numbers ascend and decend randomly and alternate capriciously between be-tween odd and even. The problem surfaced last year when it became apparent city crews and emergency vehicles vehi-cles were having trouble locating addresses. The City began working on renumbering renumber-ing Park City but realized the job would be better accomplished accom-plished by a professional firm. |
