Show Chamber will Handle Future Film Deals In response to- merchant concerns over the "discov-. . ery" of Park City as a . desirable film production : site, the City Council called ;' for the formation of a Park City Film Committee, to, "develop a set of guidelines for film and video production in Park City.". In an effort to be prepared for the next set of cameras that wheel into town, the Film Committe has assembled, assem-bled, and strides are being made in the development of some workable guidelines. At a recent meeting, the Film Committee established that "the Chamber of Commerce Com-merce will -be the liaison and contacf for film and video production in Park City, they expressed : the necessity of . havingone identifiable entity in "town, capable of dealing with the variety of demands and negotiations required between the city, community and production companies. It is the Chamber that will take the responsibility of designing specific guidelines, guide-lines, to be reviewed and revised by the City and Film ' Committee. Once the . guidelines are approved by the city, the Chamber will . implement them. In an ongoing effort to give film production a more positive profile within the Park City area, the Film Committee will continue to serve as a resource advisory group to the Chamber. Their expertise and interest in both the film industry and the welfare of the Park City community should foster a more productive relationship between the two. |
