Show School Land Deals Still Up in the Air Park City officials still don't know other than what they have read in the paper, what the counter offer from the school district is on their offer to purchase the Marsac School property. The million-dollar plus Marsac property sale was only one of two possible "land deals" to come up during a special session of the school board last Thursday. Thurs-day. School superintendent, Richard Goodworth told the Record school district attorney's attor-ney's have the offer and are attempting to rewrite a portion of the "agreement prior to officially delivering it to the city. ; Goodworth said he would submit the offer to the city as soon as it was completed. The Board also discussed the possible "landtrade transaction involving Park City. Deer Valley, the Planning Commission and the school district. Good-worth Good-worth said until now, there had only been discussions involving all parties involved with an agreement yet to be offered to the district for formal consideration. Goodworth said so far, the board "seems to be willing to work with all entitities for the good of all" on the transaction. The deal was formulated by city councilman council-man Bob Wells in an effort to raise capital for the district, low income housing for the city and Deer Valley and create open space within Deer Valley out of an unuseable school site within the development area. |
