The vehicle rolled out of its Daly Ave., parking space and damaged two vehicles owned by Bob Beall, Byer's neighbor. Hubcap Theft Reported P. E. Gunderson reported anOct. 13 hubcap theft from his '76 Ford at 713 Norfolk Avenue. The police report indicates no one had permission to take the caps. Battery Gone A $50 battery was taken out of Bill Hall's pickup on Oct. 18. The vehicle was parked at a Solamere construction site when the theft occurred. Peddler Apprehended Van Mauzy of Salt Lake was found selling window cleaner without a license Oct. 18. Mauzy was allegedly going door to door on American Saddler Dr. when he was apprehended. Allen on the Spot Park City Police officer Al Allen was called to The Club on . Main St. last week to check the identification of a bar patron. The young woman insisted she was older than 21, but told Allen she had left her proof at home. Allen offered to drive her to get the identification and she accepted. At her home, she showed the officer a passport indicating she was 23. Allen drove the woman back to The Club and informed the bartender of her age. i Camera, Flash Missing A camera and flash valued at $150 were reported missing Oct. 21 from Marie Evans' car which was parked in the lot at Park Station. Evans is a Salt Lake resident. Garage Sale Closed Down A garage sale in one of the bays at Cliff Reed's car wash across from the Holiday Inn was closed down Oct. 23 because the sellers had no business license. Reed's father-in-law and his wife were apparently conducting the sale. Although garage sales typically do not require a business license, the city determined the car wash enterprise was not a typical garage sale because it was scheduled every weekend and there was some evidence retail goods were being sold rather than unwanted household items. " j Purse Purloined Wendy Williams claims her purse was taken from her I vehicle parked at 255 Main St. on Oct. 23. Hank Louis' Vehicles Buglarized Both of Hank Louis' vehicles were burglarized in front jf his Park Ave. home Oct. 23. A cassette player and power b coxier worth $200 were removed from his Volkswagon van and rsro esti of golf clubs valued at $1 ,350 were taken from his 1973 Mercedes. Main St. Fight Stopped Officers were summoned to Main St. Oct. 24 to break up a fight in front of The Club. Courtroom Windows Broken Three windows in Judge Jinr Kilby's Marsac courtroom were discovered broken Oct. 25. Three rocks were found . inside the chambers and were evidently used to cause the damage. Items Missing from Car A Marantz stereo" receiver, 50 cassettes and a pair of $60 Vaurnet sunglasses were removed from Ralph Morrison's car Oct. 22. The vehicle was parked at 502 Park Ave. when the theft occurred. |
