Show New Fishing Rules Fishing rules for the 1969 season have been set by the Utah Board of Fish and Game with few Cew changes from the present regulations in force Corce for this season HOWEVER THE TIIE Board did continue their trend of keeping the fishing rules as short as possible and easy for the angler to under under- stand Opening day for the 1969 general season is Saturday May 31 at 4 am a.m. Mountain 1 Standard Time Fishing hours will be 4 am a.m. to 9 pm p.m. on Mount Mountain in Standard Time or 5 am a.m. to 10 pm p.m. on Daylight Saving Time CREEL CHEEL AND possession limits on trout remain eight fish except for Bear Lake Lake Powell Strawberry Reservoir and the two quality fishing streams The bonus of six cutthroat and or brook trout will remain remain remain re re- re- re main in effect for waters in Duchesne Uintah Summit I Daggett except for Flaming I Gorge and the Green River Garfield and Wayne counties CREEL LIMITS for Cor resident youngsters under 12 will be bete te of the adult limit for all species of fish Fly fishing only will be al allowed allowed allowed al- al lowed on portions of two streams during the 1969 season sea sea- son son- TWO STREAMS will have reduced creel limits and minimum size limits Part of the Strawberry River flies only and part of Blacksmith Fork River lures only will have five fish limits and 12 inch minimum minimum minimum mini mini- mum size A part of the Upper Upper Upper Up Up- per Weber River will be fly fishing only but there is no minimum size and the eight fish limit applies CHANGES WERE made in those waters closed to fishing fishing fishing fish fish- ing next year as the Board closed waters chemically rehabilitated rehabilitated rehabilitated re re- re- re habilitated until these waters are ready for the anglers |
