Show BEFORE THE DIVISION OF OIL, GAS, AND MINING DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES in and for the STATE OF UTAH NOTICE OF HEARING OSM - 001 IN THE MATTER OF CONSIDERING CONSI-DERING THE GRANTING OF AN EXTENSION TO THE DEADLINE DEAD-LINE AS SET FORTH UNDER SECTION 710.11(d) (2) OF THE REGULATIONS ADOPTED BY THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF INTERIOR IN ACCORDANCE WITH PUBLIC LAW 95-87, the SURFACE MINING CONTROL AND RECLAMATION ACT. THE STATE OF UTAH TO ALL COAL OPERATORS AND PRODUCERS, PRO-DUCERS, AND PARTICULARLY ALL PERSONS INTERESTED IN COAL MINING OPERATIONS IN THE STATE OF UTAH. Notice is hereby given that the Division of Oil, Gas, and Mining will conduct a hearing on WednesdayThursday, April 19 20, 1978, at 9:00 a.m., in the Executive Conference Room -Holiday Inn, 1659 West North Temple, Salt Lake City, Utah, in the above entitled matter. Notice is further given that the purpose of said hearing will be to determine whether or not an extension of the deadline should be granted in order to bring pre-existing, non-conforming structures and facilities into compliance with the performance standards specified under the various rules promulgated under Public Law 95-87 and 30 CFR 211. Said extensions can be granted only if it is demonstrated by each operator through written and oral testimony and evidence, that it is physically impossible to bring said structures or facilities into compliance by May 3, 1978, and setting forth proposed steps to be taken in reconstructing the structure and a proposed reconstruction recon-struction schedule is submitted. To date, applicants in this matter include: Braztah Corporation, Consolidation Consoli-dation Coal Company, Kaiser Steel Corporation, Plateau Mining Min-ing Company, Swisher Coal Company, United States Fuel Company, United States Steel Company, Utah Power and Ligth Company, Valley Camp of Utah. Any and all other coal operators may appear and be heard on these dates for same purpose. DATED this 31st day of March, 1978.
