Show 5 Sunday, April 2, was a busy day for Ken and Bea Kummer as it was their 40th Wedding Anniversary. Calls, cards, flowers etc. from friends and family also dinner at the Golden Apple in Orem as guests of Mr. and Mrs. Greg Winn and children. The day was enjoyed by all even though some of the children are far away. Happy birthday, Aprils Children. Child-ren. Mary Lynn Barkl, April 14; Crissie Marie Winn and LaVern Mathie, 15; Marcella Street, April 18; Kenneth Kummer April 21; Tessie Jensen, 23; Connie Clegg 12. The Friendly 500 Club met Thursday March 23, at the home of Ada Skillicorn. The evening was enjoyed and light refreshments refresh-ments were served. Lucky winners win-ners were Mable Sundstrom, Thelma Burgener, Lil Bircum-shaw Bircum-shaw and LaRue Carpenter. The Daughters of Utah Pioneers Pion-eers County Officer Seminar was held March 31 in the Grand Ballroom at the Hotel Utah. Officers attending from Summit County were; Melva Graham, Cumorah Brinton, Irene Peterson, Peter-son, Fawn Smith, Mary Marchant and Berneil Kummer. Registration Registra-tion began at 8:00 a.m. general assembly at 9:00 a.m. with a very good presentation by officers of the State D.U.P. Department meetings were held at 10:30 each attending the class of her office. Luncheon was served at 1:00 in the Grand Ballroom the highlight of the day was giving the floral arrangements to the lucky person at each table. I was the lucky person at our table. The meeting was very interesting and a very good learning session. |
