Show Arts Fest Logo Spreading The official design for the 1976 Park City Arts Festival is sprouting up all over town, and promoters stress the importance of pre-Festival publicity generated by residents and especially employees strutting about in their Art Festival T-Shirts. The beige T-shirts are silkscreened in dark brown ink with the attractive logo. Businesses may personalize the garments with their own logo for 50 cents each at Riva's Shirt Shop, if she's got the business design already on file. Employers should place orders immediately and wholesale prices are available contact the Chamber of Commerce. Retail shirts are available at : $4.50 each through the Chamber of Commerce office, Wolfe's, Timberhaus, and Stein Eriksen's Ski Shop. Children's and adult sizes are on hand. Sleeveless tank tops are also offered. Pat Smith's woodcut design for the festival is also available on offset printed reproductions, 12 by 22 inches on Brown Kraft paper, at a suggested retail price of $1.00. Most shops in town are selling these. For those who wish a classier emblem, Pat is handprinting the woodcut on finest rice paper in a limited numbered edition, signed by the artist. They are black on white, and 14 by 24 inches, suitable for framing. Ms. Smith is printing them on request for $25 each. Nick Nass, the Main Street Photographer, is offering to dry-mount these originals for $1.50. The idea behind trying to get as many locals as possible to buy and wear the T-shirts is that they thus become walking advertisers to whom curious visitors may direct questions about Park City and the Art Festival, in an effort to generate a big crowd and a good ; time for all. The Art Festival is happening August 14 and 15 and the Chamber of Commerce office is the place to direct orders or festival questions. Phone 649-8899. |
