Show 1 V V ii'T S -r The Park City high school chorus performs Monday night at a Choral Festival held in Park City. PCHS Takes First at Choral Fest ratings were Lehi and Morgan who tied for first place, representing represent-ing region 9. Wasatch High School, also in region 9, finished in second place. Dugway and North Rich were the two remaining schools in region 11. The Park High chorus is directed by John Webster. Jan Mann accompanied the chorus Monday night on piano. Webster said a concert band festival will be held at South Summit High School May 10, and that Park City would enter the Miners' concert and stage bands at the event. Competing against both 1-A and 2-A schools from regions 9 and 11, Park City High School's chorus received a superior rating and finished in first place in the region at the Choral Festival held at the high school in the multi-purpose room Monday night. The 19-member student chorus sang "Ave Verum" by Mozart, "The Paper Reeds By the Brooks," written by Randolph Thompson, "Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da", by John Lennon and Paul McCartney, and a medley of songs from the popular musical play, "Oklahoma."
