Scott Williams, who had presented pre-sented the Eagles with their second goal, changed his horns to halo by scoring the third and winning goal with less than ten minutes to play, and Park City held the frustrated visitors scoreless score-less the rest of the way with good defensive play including several fine saves by goalkeeper Paul Mawhinney. Saturday's game took place under ideal sunshine conditions and Park City jumped off to a 2-0 lead on goals by Shawn Glieden and David Hoffer before the Titans managed a score. In the second half, Glieden scored his second goal of the game to make the score 3-1. With only a short time remaining, the Titans picked up a second tally because of sloppy defensive work by the Parkites. The meeting of the Park City Soccer Club that had been scheduled sche-duled for last Saturday at City Park will instead be held today, Thursday, September 14, at 7:30 pm at the Memorial Building. Section of new officers and plans for the future combine to make this the most important meeting of the year. So, all soccer enthusiasts and parents of enthu- t siasts, PLEASE BE THERE! I |
