Show Begins Saturday ;, " "" - ' J ' tlLJTs Vv -J1 A relatively young and experienced Park City High School Wrestling Team will hit the mat Saturday night in Ogdcn for their first match of the year. Earlier Saturday, there will be a wrestling clinic from 8:00am to 12:30 pm with several Salt Lake schools present. "We'll field a man in each weight class who has had at least one year's experience," experien-ce," said Coach Wayne Carlson. "We'll be stronger than last year." Returning lettermen for the Miners this year include Gary Anderson, Neal Clegg, Ken Eley, Greg Erickson and Jeff Sieverts. Seniors are Randy Schaefer, Marty Wright, Qiiinn Sieverts, and Greg Erickson. The Miners will gain significant strength with the return of heavyweight John Newland and 112 pounder Rob Maloney; both repre sented Park High last year in the State Tournament. Coach Carlson also has his eyes on sophomore James Meekins., "James shows great promise to be a good wrestler for Park City High," said Carlson. Meekins wrestles in the 132 pound class. Coach Carlson will be assisted this year by Tom Prince, who Carlson described describ-ed as "very knowledge- able. He'll help the team out this year." Carlson added. Region 1 1 has been expanded this year to include teams from Altamont and Duchesne, and Park High will certainly have their work cut out for them, having to face the always tough Summit Sum-mit schools.
