' Summit County Democratic Ladies Luncheon Called Tremendous Success; Theme Is "Let's Get Rolling" nunber together accompanied by John Warren on the organ. In conclusion a dozen red roses was presented by Gwen Larsen, to Mrs. Rampton, donated don-ated by the Greater Park City Company. Reporter, Gwen Larsen. "Let's Get Rolling", was the theme of the Summit County Democratic Ladies Luncheon held at the Park City Resort last week. The consensus was it was a huge success and the food was wonderful. Unique decorations were miniature box cars filled with dollar plants and flowers. Gwen Larsen was chairman of the event, with co-chairmen, Nan McPolin, Alice O'Neil Annie Offrett, Mae Moore, Mar- garet Mitchell, Eve Woolsten-hulme, Woolsten-hulme, Marie Pace. A program followed the luncheon. Lucy Beth Rampton was guest of honor, and spoke on Convention Conven-tion the American Way. She also told of the accomplishments of her husband, Governor Rampton; Ramp-ton; a trumpet solo, JimSanty, accompanied by his mother, Carol Santy; Val Booth, State Chairman of the Democratic party spoke on Trust and En-thuseasm En-thuseasm and gave some highlights high-lights of State Secretary, Clyde Miller; Nan McPolin, co-ordin-ator for Gunn McKay talked for Glen McKay in behalf of Koy Page ; the mother of Gunn McKay and his sister Wilamenla Rich-ardsen Rich-ardsen both spoke for Gunn McKay; Paguita Elder, wife of Joseph (Jody) Elder, candidate for State Auditor, spoke in his behalf; several songs were given by Aloma Richins, Vickie Argyle, Ruby Stokes, accompanied accom-panied by Carla Dee Stokes, on the piano and Blaine Blon-quist Blon-quist on guitar and then each gave a solo, representative Beverly White, state Democratic Demo-cratic Secretary spoke in behalf be-half of McGovern and all candidates. can-didates. Miss Summit County, Cristie Showalter and her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Warren gave musical numbers; Cristie danced, danc-ed, the same number as she had done in the talent contest which won her, her title; mother and daughter gave a dance and vocal |
