Show Park City High School Navs Football Dance -PCHS- A dance to honor Mr. Football Foot-ball will be held Friday, Oct. 27. The dance will be sponsored by the Student Council at the High School gym from 8 p.m. to 12 p.m. Mr. Football will" be chosen by a vote of the students. The eligible candidates for this title are senior boys who play football. These boys are: Rick Sorenson, Bert Murnin, Kelly Gee, and Mike Watts.-Reporter, Watts.-Reporter, Christine Kummer. -PCHS- Ballet Studied Half of the Park High students stud-ents were treated to an introduction intro-duction to ballet by Ballet West, a professional reperetory ballet company from the U of U. Only seniors, juniors, and sophomores were allowed to view the assembly, which took place in Heber. The rest of the students stayed in Park City and attended classes. The dancers demonstrated a variety of ballet steps to the audience so they would realize how difficult it is to dance ballet. After the introductory period, the company performed excerpts ex-cerpts from four different ballets, bal-lets, one of which has yet to premiere on the home stage in Salt Lake. John Lehmer. It ' was decided that students should dress in a clean and neat manner, No holey jeans, ho bleached jeans, and clothes should be clean. Jim Santy said, "If we talk about dress standards, it will just cause more arguments." But they-'discussed anyway; because be-cause if .-students cannot control con-trol their dress standards, then the school board will. Seniors need to move their float from the Treasure Mountain Moun-tain Inn garage. The bottom and top hall are trashy especially after lunch. Students should be more considerate con-siderate and pick up their trash. The seniors will sponsor a dance on Friday 27, after the South Summit game. The band is Red Mountain, and admission admis-sion will be $1.00. The junior class will sponsor a dance on November 10. Mimi Parma -PCHS- Bonanza Readied The staff of the Bonanza, year book has been keeping very busy during the first two months of school; and through their hard work, they will meet their deadline of November 1 for the color section of the yearbook. The color section includes the drill .team, cheerleaders, members of the student council, coun-cil, studentbody officers, and pages of them. The yearbook is $7.00, but after December 1 the price will be $7.50 and after March 1 the price will be $8.00. So students, if you want to save money, on a yearbook, buy it now! Helen Marcellin -PCHS- Exhibit Studied Park . City High School has received a 131-book exhibit from -Ferner. Publications Company " in Minneapolis" Minn. They" are ' all '"very :e'asy'"to read',-at a jun- ior high level. The books"'c6ver "all aspects"" of history, politics, ecology,-sex ecology,-sex education, math, music, art, civil" rights, religion, -, science; -hobbies:, animals; race economy and education. The teachers will . look at ' these books and decide which ones they want for. the lib- ... rary, if any. The other books will be Sent back to the company. com-pany. The elementary teachers teach-ers will also be given an opportunity op-portunity to examine these books. Mimi Parma ' " ' JV Wins One PCHS -J.V. football team achieved a victory. 18-13 was the score of the football game which was played in Heber against Wasatch J.V. on Oct. 17. Three touchdowns were made, two by Willie Murnin and one by Pat Pirragilo. Jayne Farley. -PCHS- New Uniforms Soon Park High girls' chorus is raising money for new uniforms by selling Christmas cards. A box of cards consists of 12 different kinds of cards to a box and the price is $2.00 a box. The girls have divided into two groups trying to outsell the other group. The losing group will have to give the winning group a party. The girls have decided on a long red dress. The dresses will cost over $20.00 a dress. The card company will reward re-ward each girl with a prize if she sells, 12 or more boxes of cards.
