Show Tags llecessary on Yule Trees State Law requires that all natural grown and cut trees to be used for Christmas decoration purposes shall be identified with a tag approved by theUtahState Forestry and Fire Control. These tags are to be used on trees cut from private lands. They are not to be used on trees cut from federal lands, state lands, or on shipments from out of state trees. The price for tags is five cents each. Payment may be in the form of cash, check, or money order made payable to the State of Utah. Each tree must be tagged as soon as it is cut and before it is removed from its original location. Once attached to the tree, the tag shall not be removed, re-moved, except by the individual user and at the time the Christmas Christ-mas tree is placed in use for decoration. Before any Christmas tree tag can be sold the purchaser must present the following information: in-formation: 1. Number of trees by species. 2. Legal description of land from which the trees are to be cut. 3. Name and present address of legal owners of the land and the trees. 4. Signature of landowner or agent giving permission to cut trees. For persons interested in cutting less than (10) ten trees not for commercial purposes, tags can be obtained from the Summit County Sheriff's Office in Coalville and Park City. For persons interested in cutting more than (10) ten trees for commercial purposes, tags, registration forms and shipping permits can be obtained by contacting the Area Forester, 94 South Main, Heber City, or the State Forester's Office, 1596 West North Temple, Salt Lake City. |
