Show Mrs. John C. Green, Jr. Named To Head Arthritis Fund Drive education in new treatment techniques constantly being developed. 'Many people do not know," she said, "that arthritis is this nation's No. 1 crippler, and that one out of every 11 Americans of all ages has the disease. This means that in Park City alone there are approximately 130 arthritis victims." Mrs. Green went on, "Research "Re-search will provide the answers ans-wers and we urge .everyone to support the drive to provide the means to lick this growingprob-lem." The Utah Chapter of the Arthritis Arth-ritis Foundation today named Mrs. John C. Green, Jr. to head its 1972 Park City area campaign for funds to fight arthritis. The drive will take place during the month of September, Sep-tember, according to Dr. Robert Rob-ert W. Carson, President of the Utah Chapter. The Park City Ladies of Elks, of which Mrs. Green is President, have agreed to spon-sor spon-sor and carry out this drive this year as they did last year. In accepting the chairmanship, chairman-ship, Mrs. Green emphasized the continuing need for funds to support local and national research toward the final conquest con-quest of arthritis, and to support sup-port public and professional |
