Show Mrs. Leona Smith Funeral Is Held Mrs. Leona B. Smith, 20825 Telker Dr., Torrance, Calif, passed away May 27, 1972 in a Torrance hospital. She was born in Utah, Nov. 20, 1909 and had lived in South Bay for 20years. She had been an employee of North American. She is survived by her husband hus-band Norman; 2 sons, Norman Danial Smith; Clark JohnSmith; 1 daughter, Garlene Zappitelli; 1 brother, George Clark of Engle-wood; Engle-wood; 16 grandchildren and several sev-eral nieces and nephews. Rosary was recited at Niland Mortuary. Reauim Mass at St. James Church, Redondo Beach. Interment in Holy Cross Cemetery. Ceme-tery. Leona B. Clark Smith was born and raised in Park City. She received her education in Park City schools. She also attended St. Mary's of the Wasatch. Wa-satch. Leona and her brothers and sisters helped Leona's mother, Mrs. Margaret Clark, when Mrs. Clark owned and operated the Park City Miner's Hospital. The family left Park City July 1942 and settled in California. They moved to Oregon and were in business there for five years, coming back to California in 1952 and had lived in Torrance for the past 20 years. Leona was preceded in death by her twin sister, Laurine Ann Ever-ly Ever-ly by about one month. |
