H Hunt 75 75 one of ot Utah's most prominent mining executives for many years and a former member of the state legislature died of a heart attack Thursday April 17 in Fresno Calif where he and his wife were a daughter On Board of Directors Mr Hunt retired May Kay 1 1 1955 from his hla post poet as consultant and member of the board of directors tors of United Park City Cily Mining Co member companies of which he had served since c coming to Park City as a mining engineer in 1913 He had since been employed In research and development work for Anaconda Copper Corporation working out of Salt Sail Lake City He was general superintendent superintend superintend- ent of Park Utah Consolidated Mining Co from 1925 to 19 1946 6 and vice president and general manager from 19 1946 6 to 1953 when the firm merged to become united Un uni ted Park City Mining Co Active In Politics Mr Hunt served in both the Utah House of ot Representatives and the State Senate and as a Wasatch County commissioner He was a member of several leveral tax study committees in the state and had served on a federal committee committee com to study organization and operation of the Bureau of Land Management In 1953 He lie was founder and first president president dent of the Associated Civic Clubs of Northern Utah Mr Hunt was born Jan 5 1883 in Cleveland Ohio and received received re reo re- re his bis education at the Un of California where he was graduated in 1907 as a mining engineer Mr Ir Hunt was wu long active in Utah Republican politics and was wasa a frequent speaker on mining and economic problems He lie wrote a cumber number of technical articles on the mining Industry Survivor Survivors Survivors Include his widow Mrs Anna Grove Hunt a son Ion Robert Hobert A A.
