Show Park City Council Hears Plan for Grant May Sell City Bonds Meeting was called to order on March 21 by Mayor Sullivan Councilmen present were Kummer Henrion and OKeefe Marshal Ryan and Supervisor Supervisor Su Suo Su- Su Georgia were in attendance attend attend- attendance ance also Minutes S of the previous meetIng meeting meet meet- Ing were read and approved Robert Burns and Son met with the Council again to check into the possibility of leasing or buyIng buying buying buy buy- ing the City property known as the Lions Park for building a aI I motel They were Informed l that at t this time the City will not sell or lease any property If the property Is to be sold or leased In the future Mr Burns Burris will be notified King lUng Canyon Lots Ralph Knight was present to discuss a problem he has with same some lots lots lots' he has purchased inKing InKing in inKing King Canyon One house in particular par titular is built on part of theold theold the theold old City Road Raad known as Ridge Road This Tills road is no longer j I used and is of no use to the City Mr Knight wants to buy the strip I along this road in order to make I his his' lots large enough to build on I The Council agreed that they would sell him the ground that the house sits on but they would not sell any more until they had investigated the situation further A motion to sell him the tho property where the house hause sits was made by Councilman Kummer and seconded seconded sec sec- by Councilman Motion carried The council with the supervisor or will meet Saturday morning morningto to make a study of the ground in question Hoke Hake Carney was present to ask permission In behalf of the Ki Kl- wants wanis Club to construct a tennis court and skating rink at the City Park Mr K Kummer moved that the Kiwanis Club be given permission to build the court and rink They will follow the plans plan made for the Park by the Extension Service The motion was seconded by Councilman and carried The Over-All Over Committee for tor Park City Development c came me to I the meeting to present to the Council a list of proposals In regard re re-I re gard to getting a Federal Grant I for planning The proposals were read and discussed Mr OKeefe moved to have the City Attorney give an opinion on them before any decision is reached Councilman Councilman Coun Caun cilman seconded the motion mo tion and it carried carded Hurley Reports Andrew Hurley reports that he has contacted the Finance Committee Com Corn of ot the State in regard to buying Park City bonds and has been Informed that the State will buy them at 4 per cent inter est He Ue will meet with Mr Johnson John son of ot the State Road Commis Mon sion soon lioon Two applications for tor business licenses were approved Bob Dol Saw jer yer er for tor a beer and mer chant license Motion for approve al was made by Councilman OKeefe and seconded by Councilman Councilman Coun Coun- cilman clIman Kummer Carried Mrs Judy Turner and ami Carolyn Bloom applied for tar a merchant license for tar a gift shop Councilman Kummer made this motion Councilman Coun Caun cilman seconded and the motion carried CD Warning Children Marshal Ryan was instructed to caution school children about l walking in the road foad on Park Ave Bills approved and ordered paid totaled The Council instructed the Recorder Recorder Recorder Re- Re corder to put all past due water and television accounts in Small Claims for collection The public Is reminded that a building permit must be applied for far BY DY THE PROPERTY OWNER OWN OWN- ER before any MY building or reI remodeling remodeling re re- modeling is started Now is the I time to apply for your permit if I you plan on having work done this spring This being all the business to come before this meeting it was adjourned on motion of and Henrion Next meeting to tobe be April 4 pm p.m. Violet p.m.-Violet Violet Terr Terry Terry Ter Ter- r ry Recorder |
