Show Uncle Parley Parleys Retires Store Is Sold to Alva Dearden HENEFER Parley T who entered retail merchandising in Henefer In 1907 is going out of business The store has been sold to Alva Dearden of Henefer who took I possession on June 1 Uncle Parley as he Is affectionately af ly called by most of ot his patrons whether they are are related or not is greatly admired and respected by his relatives and patrons and will be greatly missed Mr who is now 84 years of age entered the business ss' ss in 1907 as an an assistant to William F. F Cromer in the same saine building the store now occupies He lie made deliveries by horse and buggy to near-by near communities Later he went into the grocery business for himself in hi the former former former for for- mer Oriel Stephens Stephens garage garage building building build build- ing Just north of his present site Some time after the death of Mr Cromer he purchased the Cromer business r renaming naming it the Mercantile Company and with his son Lyle P.
