Recreation Center The pool I Is to bo completely enclosed so that year around use Is possible The water for forthe forthe forthe I the pool will be heated filtered and chlorinated thus approaching the best possible conditions for swimming and I protection of ot the public health The pool will be 75 feet long and 45 feet teet wide I These standards will allow all types of ot I swimming meets races and games to be had as well as allowing the best ratio of ot deep water to shallow water for forthe forthe forthe the swimmer and bather Future plans for development of ot the Recreation Center Include construction of ot a n grandstand for tor the ball park con con- construction construction construction of ot a race track rodeo arena and chutes a band shell and a picnic area with stone determined last year that the city would construct an open-air open swimming pool and a firm of engineers was employed to design the pool and I later supervise construction The study made by the engineers resulted in an estimated cost of ot with the added comment that the advisability of or such expenditure was probably questionable Inasmuch as the outside pool would Ike- Ike ly render not more than 75 60 days service per year The engineer stated to the council that his Investigations and surveys showed that a first-class first swim swim- swimming swimming swimming ming pool under cover build no swimming pool unless It built a good one The recommendation recommendation recommendation further suggested that the pool be placed on a large area of ot land where other recreational
