I e s l 11 i 1 LEGION AUXILIARY SEEKS XMAS VET AID Showing some of the gifts already donated to the American Amer ican icon Legion Auxiliary aro are Ruth Moss left and Ann Veterans Day will be observed observed ob I served and then many veterans who suffered serious disability and arc are lying in the Veterans hospital arc are promptly forgotten by most people But this is not the case with American Legion Women's Auxiliary for i it t marks the beginning of their drive for gifts for the Uie hospitalized hospitalized veterans to select and send home to a loved one A STAFF from each post organizes or or- organizes the gifts and operates the shop These women give of their time to organize the gifts girls making snaking it possible for every veteran to select a gift to send home with no cost to I the veteran It is wrapped and the postage paid by voluntary contributions from the auxiliary auxiliary auxiliary iary and friends of the veter veter- ans A wide variety of gifts arc are needed for children boys girls men and women Cash contributions contributions contri contri- are used to pay postage and wrappings ANYONE who wishes to join in this the auxiliary project will be welcomed with wide Peterson Petersen right Gifts will ill go to veterans in hospitals and their families open arms and some veteran will say a grateful thank you Gifts may be dropped off to lo loany any of the following places Ann Petersen N.
