derville dervillo with of course many more people constant traffic le and a bit more business but to all outward appearances pe arances as moral as the village named it Is at night particularly u when lien tb the honest come over from their model city of boulder together with the men and women of las vegas vega s young men single men married men and nd old men with their wives and daughters daugh teis their mothers and grandmothers with their sons and grandfathers apparently turn out en ell jansse to throng th the a score or more of th the is gambling places where in one of the largest of these are running u two roulette wheels two stud poker acke tables one draw poker one crap game chuck a luck blackjack pan fal faro and such an immense I 1 nse keno parlor that they have to use a loud speaker to call the numbers with every game crowded with players and hundreds standing around the tables interestingly watching the spinning of wheels the expert fling of cards and the th throwing of dice etc on this occasion the writer being one of the latter and at times secretly wishing he had the nerve to try his luck during the games at all the tables waiters are flitting here there and over yonder passing drinks cigarettes cigars etc to the excited players with both sexes drinking smoking and often times swearing it was indeed a worth nalle sight to this goody goody novice from our quiet ulet sleepy mining camp to the northwest degenerated from what it used to be when us grey headed sinners were youngsters with not unpleasant recollections ot of the good old days of long ago we have
