Show 1 parent teachers hold meeting tuesday evening at eight the high school auditorium was filled died to overflowing lor for the thanksgiving pogrom art the he high school orchestra gave eave a splendid fifteen minute concert which was followed by the lincoln school band there were about 25 members present in their first public appearance the lincoln school thanksgiving project took in children from the first to the sixth grades it was well worked out in three parts first the pilgrims in holland second the indians sighting the landing of the pilgrims third tho the first thanksgiving the costuming slid and dialogue were well worked out it took just 28 minutes the washington school presented pupils from grade three to five in two well chosen chorus numbers as their first number the third and fourth grades gave a unique thanksgiving project worked out through posters and questions the tard part was an old fashioned spelling bee the twelve members drawing tor for places belore before the audience the jeffersons first number was a group of thanksgiving songs by pupils from grades one to tour four their pilgrim costumes added much to the enjoyment of the event principal metcalf gave a pleasant arithmetic demonstration of classroom class room routine the closing number was a delightful pilgrims song by miss johnstons pupils A big pumpkin on either side elde of the stage was a colorful addition 14 I 1 president wyckoff thanked each and everyone tor for their work in presenting such a pleasing program the minutes of the previous meeting were read after which the meeting adjourned until december A 0 |
