bunny southern california to again enjoy the changeable seasons and the oft times vigorous high altitude of our favored park city atter after an absence of more than seven months yes teg we will be glad to get back as the normal person Is always glad to get back home I 1 0 0 notwithstanding we will leave this favored section with pangs of regret j because while we are going to loved ones we are leaving loved ones here who during more than our five months sojourn have bestowed every attention and care and consideration that love could suggest d during our convalescence the memory oi of i which will be always gratefully cherished as we journey on elsewhere 0 I 1 we came down to this land ot of sunshine and flowers considerable of a wreck we will return home practically as goad good I 1 I 1 as new or only a bit older and lacking perhaps a little of our former activity I 1 the past week we were much pleased to receive a kind and interesting letter from mr and mrs A C 1 former well known and esteemed park city residents who tor for several years past have been making their home and pros in los angeles their address be ing whittier boulevard the letter said eald in part it if one cannot go to a party how nice it Is to have the party come to him and how wonderful it Is to have a department of the park record move right into ones neighborhood it seems to shorten the distance imea im ea sure ably between the park and southern california and to strengthen the bond that has always existed between the two places but I 1 notice that you are planning to leave us soon and I 1 want to tell you how much we shall rates miss dads column mrs Is active in club and social affairs down this way and invitations were kindly extended us to attend certain club activities which had to be regrettably regret ably declined because of previous engagements i 0 I 1 back in russia hussla sunday has been put in the same class as the other six days of the week however the seven day nonstop non stop working week has been so arranged that every factory worker gets a full day of rest every five days the question now Is what will be the effect of killing sunday have on the religiously the throngs at the gaming tables at this western monte carlo they appeared leared to be doing quite well mr and mrs ClI clifford farrell with their new baby boy clifford farrell and his grandmother mrs bosle all of venice california were visitors at the home last friday a decidedly happy hour or two ensul ensuing ng mr farrell Is assistant editor feature writer on the los angeles examiner and has been for the past eight years he knows los angeles from A to Z believing in the rapid future growth of this particular section ot of southern california mr and mrs farrell are contemplating the purchase of al a small acreage and the building of a home la in acadia a few miles east ot of alhambra in the san gabriel valley A delightful section of co country UY the news of 0 the passing on of W D richardson chardson El our own dan last thursday at his home in ontario california came as a distinct shock to his hundreds of park city friends and admirers in southern california and in utah as well as to his multitude of friends in the community in which he and his family have lived for many years past it just seems impossible that the always I 1 robust jolly genial and beloved dan richardson chardson Hl a friend to everybody and friend has passed on to that mysterious realm from whose bourne no I 1 traveler returns dear dan kindly charitable honest hla his kindly smile his cordial greeting his joviality his good citizenship his faithful service his always beaming companionship and general usefulness will ever be remembered during the many years of his active residence in park city and how sadly wm will his presence his usefulness his sterling and progressive citizenship be missed in the ontario community in which he was esteemed and honored and where he be had m made his Is home since leaving our mountain city A good man a dutiful son a truly devoted husband and father a an exemplary citizen has been stricken down by death while in the full print prime e r n community in which he be made his bis home was demonstrated yesterday afternoon at the funeral of the deceased services were held at the christian church at ontario the large church was filled to capacity both the auditorium and the gallery surrounding it were packed knights templar masons elks odd fellows DeMo lays women organizations attended in separate bodies in large numbers A quartette and soloists rendered appropriate music flowers were in abundance a set piece being noticed from park city masons there perhaps were other floral tributes from park city there were hundreds of beautiful floral remembrances impressive funeral addresses were delivered by the pastor of the christian church and the rev bert foster a former beloved and devoted friend ot of deceased reservations were made at the church tor for members of the park city association of southern california which was largely represented among those present being mrs frank andrew mr and mrs tom andrew mrs R cupit gentlemen in bed where he informed us he had been tor for about a week with jaundice ho he was as jolly as ever and assured us he would be up and around again within a few days having this assurance from his bis family physician it was while he was convalescing we understand a catarrhal throat complication set in which caused his sudden sud den death william daniel richardson was born at laveta colorado on august 14 1882 he being in his year he left park city ciry nine years ago to go in business at ontario california making his home there since that time besides his widow deceased is survived by his bis parents mr and mrs J F richardson and three sons frank age 23 william 21 and george 18 and two daughters juanita 14 and minnie jane 11 two sisters also survive mrs grace bryant of los angeles and mrs francis sill of azusa california with whom the parents are making their home cause of death was catarrhal jaundice death occurred at san antono hospital uplands california at 6 p m february 13 1930 the demolay organization of ontario was founded by mr richardson in that city a year or so ago it Is composed of I 1 masons under twenty one years ot of age this membership may be retained until the twenty first birthday of members when they are qualified to become master masons if they so desire or forfeit their membership mr richardson was particularly proud of this tats organization and the members justly aroud of mr richardson tor for he was their mentor and an exceedingly competent one A largo number were besent lu in a body at the funeral services robert dalgleish former well known attorney of c park city arrived in los angeles last saturday ile he and his wife motored from denver colorado they report the roads in good condition mr dalgleish Is now and has been tor for years past in the insurance business from now cow on the lady and gentleman will make their home in los angeles the family together with mr and mrs r ed firmage enjoyed a delightful ride in orange county last sunday sund el Y stopping tor for dinner at ru fulerton lerton it is Is a beautiful and prosperous section of southern california last week at the home a pleasant visit was enjoyed from mr and mrs gideon snyder and little granddaughter rosetta mr snyder had but recently returned from his bis mining property in nevada which he reports now working at full blast on a large scale with big production prospects ahead 4 0 there are mothers and widows in the united states of service men who lost their lives in europe during the world war of this number already having accepted the invitation of 0 our ur to visit the graves braves of th their air sorts sons or husbands who fell in the service between april 5 1917 and july 1 1921 tl 0 women entitled to tb these ese trips may welcome and reception was given citizen coolidge Cool idse and wife upon their arrival in los angeles yesterday morning and the distinguished couple sire are now housed in the finest suite in the finest hotel in los angeles the BlIt biltmore more cal and grace will have a continual round of pleasure in seeing things and going to different places while on their first visit to wonderful southern retired from business ho he and mrs diem now spend their time in traveling ng and pleasuring his two boys are doing well one francis Is a minister tn in south america and ira transportation agent of a big steamship company with headquarters at seattle francis Is now on his bis way to visit his father and brother and mr air diem came to los angeles in the hope of meeting him but the ship Is delayed tor for some reason or other so mr and mrs airs diem will continue on to salt La kefor a a visit before returning to yakima mr air diem reports charley heath and ferd getsch with their families as
