Show elk s convention august th tb the edth and irth of 01 this month will be red letter days for park city the utah elks will assemble here on those dates in attendance at the annual state convention and to participate in iff the silver bliver jubilee ot of park city X odge the executive committee den ben beveridge Beverl dge george crossman W J berry a and nd roger boger mcdonough are arc working day and night planning a program of entertainment tain ment that promises to excel anything ever attempted in the way ot of fraternal demonstrations demonstration sI there will be novel features in endless varieties concluding with a monster banquet and grand ball tuesday night an athletic exhibition will be given at the american theatre the best in the state will participate in boxing bouts wrestling matches etc wednesday will be parade day A monster parade in which every lodge in the state will participate all with e each L c ll 11 other tor for the most unique representation ta t lon word was received yesterday from eureka that wednesday the will be a general holiday in that great mining camp to permit at least halt half ot of the population ot of that city to come to park city to participate in and to witness the big parade frank morley an early day resident ot of park city and chairman ot of the parade committee of the eureka lodge assures the local committee that Eu section of the parade will astound the natives with its startling daring and originality igina lity frank will not reveal the least hint of what shat it will be but promises it will be the talk of the entire state surpassing anything at any time in the his joiy or of the elks ellas state association eureka will be here in full forchand force and when it comes to doing things eureka takes no back seat ceat A surprise Is promised that will be talked about until the next state meet MORE ROOMS WANTED to accommodate the great crowds that will be in park city on the dates named the reservation committee consisting of fraser eraser buck george hoover vern vera gibson jim ritchie and george crossman desires all who can possibly furnish sleeping accommodations for visitors to leport at once to any member of the committee giving the number they can pc and the rates to be charged many rooms have already been engaged but more are wanted the elks desire it distinctly under stood that these accommodations are not expected free but hired and paid for if you can accommodate one or more so inform the committee |
