on this occasion loa yet the meeting wms was one of 0 interest and the speakers attentively listened to the speakers were frank evans don B colton lon longress gressional lonal nominee from this 1 treasurer L B wight nominee for I 1 judge of this judicial district and J W bircumshaw chaiem chairman an of park city republican club i frank evans was the first speaker touching briefly on the main issues of the campaign commending the state ticket with particular reference to the sterling worth morth and qualifications of don B colton and charles R mabey for the offices for which they were nominated colton col ton and mabey followed and created a most favorable impression with their hearers by their earnest and logical talks on republicanism and the principal issues of the campaign both are men of high character and acknowledged I 1 ability they are men who inspire confidence by their sincerity and impress those with whom they come I 1 in contact with as men to tie to men who will give honest service they were enthusiastically received and were frequently applauded during their splendid talks ma 27 pa rallies are necessary during a presidential campaign or at least they are so considered it if for no BO other purpose than to have the nominees meet the voters in the different localities of their state and present to them their political vies and to endeavor to convince them of 0 the superior methods of government of their party over those of the opposition it rallies do not chat change votes from one party to another t tj they j keep alive the interest ot of the campaign and stimulate the efforts ot of workers for their bartys success pa 27 2 7 A pitt but to get people out to rallies requires more than a bare announcement of 0 a meeting on a certain datel date I 1 1 and at a certain place there musti must 1 I 1 be other attractions than just the speakers music has cli charms arins andi and people like music they like to have their emotions stirred up ns as it
