at that time all employed at the monster potash plant in operation at that place the overland limited was thirty minutes late in reaching that station affording an opportunity to chat with the boys going over the strike situation in park city and other matters of interest they all had good jobs at good wages but like all other park lies ites were exceedingly rejoiced because of 0 labor troubles having been amicably settled in park city and of 0 course are back there and at work long before this green river from the accounts of these gentlemen is one of the busiest places in the stats state of wyoming with plenty of work for everybody mr J E stephens formerly master mechanic ot of the king coalition is in charge of the work of the big potash plant there and Par kites were well cared for in consequence aside from the heat the ride to chicago was pleasant and was made more agreeable by the meeting ot of secretary bower of eureka lodge no who was on his way to atlantic city to attend collier the lady and gentleman who were in our city two years ago on a short visit to see see amr squires while on a tour of 0 the west A very enjoyable hour or two was spent with these good people peola the fourth of july was spent in new york city coney island was visited and it was a eight ever to be remembered because ot of the vast throng of people for miles the beach was simply black with people and the main avenue ot of coney island packed solid with people moving back and forth in a continual stream the hundreds ot of places ot of amusement were filled with merry merr i maker sas were all the eating houses i the penny catching booths of all characters the whirligigs the chutes i and the hundreds of other devices i and attractions designed to give I 1 amusement and separate you from your small change only those who have visited coney island or other large seaport resorts can form the least conception of the crowds the illuminations the numerous attractions the constant whirl of things unusual at these places on a holiday or big celebration geuns from the country when plunged into the whirl ot of such busy life can only gaze and marvel at the wonder of 0 it all three days
